How does Hola AI treat spam calls and my personal messages?

Hola AI runs every call through a spam model and caller reputation checks. Obvious spam gets a short rejection so your line is freed fast; suspicious calls are screened with clarification questions before deciding whether to connect or summarize. Hola AI never sees your SMS inbox, OTPs, or any other message content—it only processes audio from forwarded calls that you authorize.

☎️ Call Forwarding

Can I turn off call forwarding after enabling Hola AI?

Absolutely. In the Hola AI app, go to Settings → Call Forwarding and toggle off Forward unanswered calls to restore normal ringing. You can also dial *73 on most US carriers, or ##004# / ##21# on GSM networks, then press call to clear conditional forwarding from the carrier side.

Will my carrier charge me for forwarded calls?

Forwarded calls still use carrier minutes or per-minute rates because the network places a second outgoing call to Hola AI. Plans with unlimited talk usually cover this, but metered or pay-as-you-go plans may bill the forwarded leg, so check your carrier’s policy.

What happens if Hola AI can’t answer a call?

If Hola AI is unreachable—such as when your subscription lapses or there’s a service outage—call forwarding is automatically disabled. Calls then ring your phone again and, if unanswered, fall back to your existing carrier voicemail just like before Hola AI was enabled.
